How We Started:
A local Registered Nurse had a vision to create a website
designed specifically to serve healthcare professionals in
the Greater Houston Area. This website would be an
easy to use online healthcare job board and career resource.
It also had to be free for all healthcare job seekers.
The idea became a reality in the form of this
website, Houston MedPros.com.
Houston MedPros.com is an easy way for healthcare
professionals to find healthcare jobs in the Greater Houston
Area. They can also visit the site to find local
resources such as: Basic
Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
classes, local bookstores, scrub and
uniform stores, important contact information for Texas
licensing agencies (Texas Board of Nursing), local salary
information, local professional organizations, local schools
offering healthcare degrees, or just some laughs on our
medical jokes page.
For employers (hospitals, private physicians, nursing homes,
ambulance services, clinics, nursing agencies, etc.), we
offer niche job board postings and advertising specific to
healthcare/medical jobs in the Greater Houston Area.
We offer our postings at approximately a third of the cost
of major job boards. This allows equal posting
opportunities for private physicians and clinics that don't
have huge advertising budgets that most major hospitals
have.
